Concept Validation

Is your startup viable? Are you sure?

Your challenge

If you've been working hard on your company, you may now be quite close to it. Is your plan really viable? We can serve as a fresh set of eyes and help you understand how compelling your concept is going to be to investors, end users and potential acquirers.

How we help

We can evaluate your business concept across a number of criteria including, but not limited to:

- Current issues/trends in your market
- Apparent competitive threats
- Differentiation vs. current & future competitors
- Actionability of target market
- Target prospect wants/needs
- Compellingness of value proposition
- Need for strategic partnerships
- Revenue model and pricing feasibility
- Feasibility of corporate goals
- Key employees
- Viability of exit strategy
- Overall focus
- Overall prospects for success
- Overall attractiveness to investors

In the process of being evaluated against these criteria, clients often gain clarity on elements of their strategy that they didn't have previously.

A concept validation project begins with a half-day worksession with your team to review current strategy and internal documents. Secondary and primary research is then carried out, including conversations with market analysts and prospects designed to solicit candid opinions. (Due to the confidential nature of these interviews, discussion guides are drafted and reviewed with the client, and interviews are done under NDA if necessary.)

Results are analyzed, and conclusions are made and presented.
